Exhaust Solution System For Hospital
The Dilema
A reputable maintenance company was searching for a solution to their exhaust equipment’s inability to accommodate the harsh weather condition, excessive vibrations and qualification for DBA standards.Â
The Quest for an Exhaust Solution
We took the company as a client when they reached out to us pertaining to their equipment’s noise level and performance.
Daniel, our senior specialist, led the project and worked with our support team to develop a solution that would serve our clients’ needs.

After extensive discussion with the team and client, we concluded to utilise a Flowtech Silencer with an ultra-quiet level of silencing.
The Flowtech Silencer’s outer shell is fully welded and made of aluminised material that has been heat-painted, providing durability against corrosion while making it weather and heat-resistant. With a specific design of a 254mm diameter barrel and the inclusion of both the resonator and bypass tubes, this Flowtech Silencer will surely keep noise levels low to meet the dBA required ratings.
Flowtech Silencers are recommended solutions for many reasons.
- Reduce exhaust noise levels to suit specific dBA requirements
- Designed to match the correct back pressure limits for the engine
- Constructed from either Aluminised materials or Stainless steel to increase durability.
- Improve performance of the machine by reducing vibration

In the final stage of installing the Flowtech Silencer to the equipment, we were able to supply flexible hoses to take out any excess vibration. This was complemented with clamps, mandrel bends, rubber air intake components and Silicone Thermal Heat Blankets.

The Silicone Thermal Heat Blanket act as a thermal insulator for the exhaust components and reduces the risk of engine fires in a cost-effective and practical way.
Not only does this provide protection for the hydraulic hoses and fuel lines, but it also protects personnel from coming into contact with hot surfaces during routine maintenance.
